The Client: A Cook's Gallery

The Challenge: Launch an ecommerce store for a small kitchen accessories bricks-n-mortar.

The Solution: Site offered a clean layout and simple user interface. Use of well photographed product kept the site clean and free of extraneous graphics. An early ecommerce success story (1995), the site generated over 60% of the company's gross revenue after just 18 months. The site received a lot of press and positive reviews for its ease of use and look and feel. While the site looks dated by today's standards, at the time it was pushing the envelope on several fronts: design, robust ecommerce engine, back-end orders processing component.

My Role: Information architecture, user interface, design, development, and ecommerce integration

Note: After enjoying several years of success the company was acquired by a large competitor.
